The village lies 10 kilometres away from Znojmo, between the national park Jevisovka and the national park Podyji, between two ponds. The parish church of Nanebevzeti Panny Marie can be ranked among architectural sights. The village is surrounded by woody hilly country suitable for easy hiking. There are ruins of the Senkenberk castle by the pond Vlkov and well-known car-camping with ponds.
